WIA Program

Training Programs

As of May 4, 2010, our yearly funding for individual training accounts has been exhausted, so we are temporarily ceasing applications to the WIA program. We invite you to check this website for future accessibility to this program.

Although this program is not available at this time, we encourage you to explore WCF’s other no-cost services such as WCF Online Learning, which offers online training in Windows and Microsoft Office products; Career Enhancement Seminars and webinars on topics such as resume writing; the WCF online job bank for access to hundreds of jobs; and the Resource Room for tools including computers with Internet access, Microsoft Office software, copier, fax and job salary comparisons.

We also encourage you to apply for two programs: the Re-Employment Connection, which provides employability skills and work experience in local jobs for 700 adults, age 22 and up, or Florida Back to Work, a program that will temporarily employ 145 people for 22 weeks.

WCF offers a variety of training scholarships through area schools for WORKFORCE CENTRAL FLORIDA customers who meet specific eligibility requirements. More than 350 training offerings in both short term and long term training programs are available at 29 public and private training institutions.

How Can I apply for WIA Program Services?

Based on the lack of funding outlined above, we are not accepting applications for enrollment into the WIA Program Services at the present time. We suggest that you add your name to our WIA Program Waiting List by clicking here.
