Pell Grants are available to undergraduate students who do not have a bachelors' or professional degree. These funds do not need to be repaid. Click here to apply for a Pell Grant.

WORKFORCE CENTRAL FLORIDA offers financial aid to individuals having trouble finding employment. Our financial aid packages are limited to specific schools with Certified Training Providers and programs, and demand occupations in the Central Florida area.

How do I obtain Financial Aid from WORKFORCE CENTRAL FLORIDA?

Just complete our Passport to Services Achievement Stamps and prove to us you're ready to complete school. To do this you must:

  • Attend a WORKFORCE CENTRAL FLORIDA Orientation. Click here to find out times.
  • Take a 30-minute interest inventory to find values, skills and interests to match with available careers. This is available at any ONE-STOP Orientation or anytime in our resource rooms. Click here for locations.
  • Attend at least two initial workshops including:
    • How to Locate Job Openings
    • Success Begins with You
    • Discovering Your Skills & Strengths
    • Developing A Career Path
  • Apply for at least three available employment opportunities.
The extended career exploration process includes:
  • Consulting a career counselor
  • Completing a comprehensive assessments of skills, abilities and interests
  • Developing a detailed plan for obtaining and enhancing employment
  • Attending at least three workshops on topics such as:
    • Interview Preparation
    • Tools for an Effective Job Search
    • Resume Writing
    • How to Market Yourself to Employers
    • What Employers Want
    • What Job Suites my Skills
    • Individual Financial Planning
    • Working with Money
    • Career Scope Assessment
    • Time & Stress management
    • Conflict Resolution
    • Balancing School & Workforce Central Florida Keys to Keeping Your Job
    • How to be a Team Player
    • Effective Communication
  • Attending computer classes to learn the basics of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word and the Internet, unless you already have these skills.
  • Applying for Financial Aid training.
