- EMPLOYER
- JOB SEEKER

Workforce Central Florida is transitioning the program into a year-round schedule. Project CoNEXTion will provide work experience and employment opportunities for youths ages 16 to 21, who are residents of Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake and Sumter counties.
The program is open to youth in secondary school and out-of-school youths, who are graduates, drop outs or unemployed. In-school youths will participate in after-school employment and earn $8.25 an hour while working 15 to 20 hours per week. During the summer the youth will work 30 hours per week for up to 6 weeks.
WORKFORCE CENTRAL FLORIDA’s Re-Employment Connection program
focuses on building participants skills by offering “real world”
paid work-experience internships. WCF is currently seeking
businesses that can serve as worksites and provide meaningful
work-experience opportunities.
During the work-experience internship, participants earn $12 per
hour and work up to 40 hours per week for eight weeks. WCF handles
the payroll for the interns, so there is no cost for businesses to
participate. This program is open to participants 18 years-of-age
and older that meet specific prerequisites.
Businesses wishing to participate must be located in Orange,
Osceola, Seminole, Lake or Sumter counties and cannot have laid off
employees within the last 90 days.
Workforce Central Florida has partnered with the University of Central Florida to offer a unique work experience internship opportunity for job seekers (22 years and up) that have existing experience in STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics fields.
Central Florida businesses in targeted occupations can apply to have an intern work for their company at no cost. Each of the participants selected will make up to $21 per hour and will work up to 40 hours per week for 8 weeks.
Employers must be located in Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake or Sumter counties and cannot have laid off employees within the last 90 days.
